Haley Stuart in the Community
Giving back to the communities where we live and work is an important part of the Haley Stuart philosophy. Here are a few of the organizations we support.
Since January 2016, Jean Weiner has served as president of the board of directors of The Apostles House, a nonprofit dedicated to providing comprehensive social services to at-risk families in Newark, NJ and Essex County at large. She served as a board member on The Apostles’ House Board from 2011 to 2016.
Jean is also the co-founder of Harrington Park Teens for Tomorrow, an organization dedicated to volunteering in the community.
Since January 2017, Jamie Schwartz has served as a board member of The Apostles’ House. He is co-founder of Project NEST (No Empty Stomachs Today). Established in 2011, NEST is a service-learning organization dedicated to encouraging middle school-aged students to engage in volunteering. Each year, Project NEST participants provide more than 600 Thanksgiving meals to the Newark community.
He has been active with NAPS (National Association of Personnel Services) since 2009, as a board member (2009-2012), District Director (2009 – 2012), Chair of the Credentialing Committee (2010 – 2012) and Executive Officer of NAPS (Secretary, Vice Chairman and Chairman – 2013 – 2015)
He has been a board member of New Jersey Staffing Alliance since 2007 and previously served as chair of education and programming.
From 2014 – 2017 he served on his synagogue’s board of directors.
